When first receiving the invitation to the 1st ever Quality Counts Pop-up meet I was expecting a modest turnout, dominated mostly by Subaru. Lower Standards rolled into the show fashionably late, scraping underbody up 4 stories of the parking structure. The turnout was impressive with a good mix of JDM, euro, and even American cars. There was an entire wall lined with Subaru’s, but without the owners of those Subaru’s, this meet wouldn’t have happened. Thanks to Function:Error for putting this all together!
Lower Standards was fortunate enough to arrive early enough to still park together – and make up the majority of the European cars in attendance.
It’s always great to see some old friends that had their roots in Milwaukee’s Euro Scene.
Jr .had one of the first sets of 3SDM 0.06 wheels in the states, his bagged WRX pulls them off flawlessly
The ball pit in this Integra took influence from a recent viral VW photo
I’ve always been a fan of Evos, so I couldn’t resist my chance to take some photos. There were many clean examples in attendance.
Taylor McDonald, part of Function:Error, brought out his neck breaking Evo
There was no shortage of fast cars either. Ryan Thomson’s 650whp Evo 8 MR definitely holds its own.
One of my personal favorite local cars is Kyle Mich’s V8 swapped 240sx on Work Equips. Lil’ Joe left his famed S2000 at home to get behind the wheel of this monster for the day.
It’s great to see the scene coming together like this at a local level. The show was an absolute blast and everyone had fun. A big thanks again to Function:Error for inviting Lower Standards on down for this great event and we hope to see it grow!
