H2o is the show of shows if you’re into the European modified car scene. When I made the final decision to take a long weekend off of work and make the trip from Milwaukee to Ocean City, MD for H2oi, I couldn’t have been more excited.
A group of us met at LSHQ on Wednesday night as 11pm and made the 16 hour drive in one long haul. Justin’s mk3 TDI swapped mk1 rabbit, Jed’s bagged mk6 GTI, Tony’s mk3 Harlequin driven by Dylan, and Jason’s mk4 GLI were the lucky cars to haul all of us halfway across the country to Ocean City, stopping only for gas and driver changes.
Early in the afternoon on Thursday the 26th we arrived in Ocean City and got to our condo right in the middle of the action, on 44th and Coastal. Right across the street from our condo is the Taphouse, a popular hangout spot throughout the weekend. I didn’t take many photos of the drive because it was pretty boring, and I accidentally deleted the roller shots of the cars on the way out there (sorry guys!), but here is a photo dump of the cars I did manage to capture. Enjoy!
It’s not just a VW/Audi event anymore.
I may be a little biased, but the quality of the e36 M3’s at h20 was impressive
Rudi’s .:R has been and always will be my favorite mk4
Tristan of Further Performance in Minneapolis, MN had his Golf R out for the weekend.
Tattoo Mike now owns this turbo mk5 .:R that he previously built for a customer.
It’s safe to say that H20 hasn’t seen the last of Lower Standards!
